Kyiv continues efforts to secure public access to the Dnipro River embankment. Today, August 25, municipal crews initiated the removal of fencing around the River Stone residential complex that obstructed citizens’ access to the waterfront. A correspondent from «Главкома» reports on-site developments.

Earlier, on August 21, the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office urged the Kyiv City Council to enforce a Supreme Court ruling that revoked a private entity’s control over hydrotechnical structures (embankment) at 14 Dniprovska Naberezhna Street. The court clarified that ownership rights to the hydraulic structure cannot be legally registered to any party.
«Despite this Supreme Court decision, which resulted from a lawsuit filed by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, multiple barriers blocking riverfront access remain standing without voluntary removal. Consequently, city services are obligated to dismantle these obstructions,» stated the prosecutor’s office press service.
On Friday, August 22, municipal workers began removing the fence blocking Dnipro embankment access near River Stone. However, as soon as «Kyivblagoustrii» employees dismantled the original barrier, a new fence started being erected in its place.
