“The European Union has confirmed its readiness to open the first cluster, and this gives new momentum to our negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. We have done absolutely everything for this progress, and I am grateful to everyone who has helped and everyone who is working for our state,” the head of state emphasized.
Zelensky noted that Ukraine is prepared to open six clusters and expects to achieve more results this summer for integration into the European Union. “At least from our side, there will be no delays. And it is very important that partners also feel the full significance of this process,” Zelensky stressed.
As Ukrinform reported, last week the Council of the EU officially launched the process of formally opening Cluster 1 “Foundations” in the accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova.
The Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU is convening intergovernmental conferences on accession with Ukraine and Moldova for Monday, June 15, to open Cluster 1 “Foundations”.
