Falling drone fragments ignited dry grass and trees in a forest belt
In the forest park area of Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district, bomb technicians recovered fragments of a Russian drone shot down by the Defense Forces during the latest enemy assault. This was reported by “Glavkom” citing the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv.
The impact of the debris caused a fire involving dry grass and trees within the forest strip. Forest rangers quickly arrived at the scene and extinguished the blaze, accompanied by explosive technicians from the capital’s police department.

Specialists surveyed the area, collected the remnants of the UAV, and checked the vicinity for any explosive devices. According to preliminary information, the Defense Forces downed a “Geran-4” type drone.

No citizens were harmed as a result of the incident.
As a reminder, on the night of August 25th, the Russian occupying army attacked Kyiv with drones. During the air raid alert declared due to the threat of enemy UAVs, a 16-story residential building was damaged in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district. Additionally, premises of a children’s hospital in the same district sustained damage, with windows blown out and vehicles on the territory catching fire, and there were reports of people trapped in a shelter. In the Sviatoshynskyi and Darnystskyi districts, hits were recorded in non-residential structures, including fires in warehouses and non-residential premises.
