American MAGA blogger with a million-strong following, who previously spread fake news about “Nazis,” visited Bucha, Lavra, and the destroyed Lukyanivka.
American blogger and far-right political activist Laura Loomer, considered close to former U.S. President Donald Trump, has arrived in Ukraine to witness firsthand what she previously spoke about under the influence of Russian propaganda. She has nearly two million followers on X and also hosts a podcast. This was reported by “Glavcom.”
Just a year ago, Loomer, with her nearly two million followers on X and her own podcast, referred to Ukraine as a “country of Nazi sympathizers” and opposed financial aid. However, this June, she publicly acknowledged that her perceptions had been distorted by Russian propaganda.
The blogger briefly commented on her trip to Ukraine to her supporters: “I am not in Russia because I am not a propagandist.”
Visit to Bucha and Shift in Views
One of the first stops on her itinerary was Bucha. The blogger visited the Church of St. Andrew the Apostle and the site of the mass grave of civilians murdered by the occupiers in 2022.

“Bucha has changed her perspective on the Russian war against Ukraine. Russian propaganda ends here because behind every crime are real people, their names, and their fates. Tucker Carlson and others still repeat the Kremlin’s narrative, but Bucha is ready to show the truth to anyone who wants to see it for themselves and honestly report it to the world,” said the mayor of Bucha, Anatoliy Fedoruk, thanking Loomer for her courage in admitting her mistakes.

After what she saw, the MAGA activist called on the U.S. Congress to hold hearings on the scale of Russian disinformation in the American media landscape.
Destruction in Kyiv and Breakfast Near the Rubble
In the capital, Laura Loomer visited the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, where she inspected sites damaged by the Russians, including the Dormition Cathedral, Ivan Kuchnik’s Tower, and the Mystetskyi Arsenal building. At the reserve, she was informed about restoration work and shown rescued relics.

The blogger also had breakfast at a McDonald’s in Lukyanivka – directly opposite the shopping center “Kvadrat,” which was destroyed by Russian attacks.

“Ukrainian resilience remains unwavering, and this is what I noticed on the second day of my stay in Ukraine,” the blogger wrote under the photos from Lukyanivka.
Laura Loomer emphasized that this visit helped her debunk numerous false narratives, and she is eager to convey the truth about events in Ukraine to her audience as quickly as possible.
For reference, on July 21, American far-right blogger and activist Laura Loomer, considered close to the circle of U.S. President Donald Trump, arrived in Ukraine for a visit.
The Office of the President of Ukraine welcomed the visit of the American conservative activist and associate of U.S. President Donald Trump, Laura Loomer, to Ukraine. The Presidential Office stressed that personal acquaintance with the consequences of Russian aggression helps to form an objective understanding of the war and counter Kremlin propaganda.
